Nate Bargatze can be recognized most recently from his half-hour special on Netflix’s The Standups or his 6 plus times on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He currently has a deal with 20th Century Fox to develop his own TV show based on his life. Jerrod Carmichael is set to write and executive produce the TV show.
Friday, May 4th, Josh Blue will be featured on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon at 10:30PM on NBC. Although this is Josh’s first time on The Tonight Show, he is pretty familiar with NBC. Josh won NBC’s Last Comic Standing back in 2006 and credits his career explosion to the attention and endearment he earned from Last Comic Standing. Along with being accustom to NBC, Josh has had his fair share of talkshow appearances.
You may know Josh from his nationally recognized comedy, but did you know he is an artist as well as a comedian? Josh has had several art exhibits around Denver and during the whole month of May, you can experience his art for yourself! Josh’s art is inspired by his childhood in Africa and features sculptors, paintings and masks.
Where: Ion Gallery 2049 Larimer St

Josh Blue will be at the exhibit on May 4th to premiere his debut on The Tonight Show at the gallery.

The basement of the Granite Building has been home to the famous Comedy Works downtown showroom since 1981. Ranked in the “Top 20 Things To Do in Denver” on TripAdvisor.com, going to a show at Comedy Works is unlike any comedy club experience in the country.
“There’s something so magical about that room,” Curtis, Comedy Works’ CEO, muses. The shadowy basement that seats over 200 customers “like little sardines” is unique and quaint to Curtis. When she says they just don’t get it, she’s talking about the variety of other comedy clubs who don’t favor the close-knit, underground room. But to so many, Comedy Works’ downtown showroom is the best stage they’ve ever performed on. As Dave Chappelle put it, “Comedy Works is the best independent comedy club in the United States.” (And Chappelle prefers the downtown club to our other club).
